Today we discussed the new classroom rules that are being implemented school-wide. A copy of these rules are on the HOME page. We spent some of the class time reviewing and identifying the stages of mitosis. If you were not here you will need to ask for this review sheet. It also has your homework assignment on the back (due Oct 18). We then drew out the light and dark reactions for photosynthesis and spent a good deal of time on the connections between the two. Some questions we answered were:
1. What is the role of electrons in the light dependent part of photosynthesis?
2. What is the role of the H+ ions in the light dependent part of photosynthesis?
3. What is the role of the Calvin cycle in the light independent part of photosynthesis?
4. What terms can be interchanged with "light dependent" and "light independent"?
